Taylor earns her keep... :)

Today was a great day to be outdoors. It was sunny and about 70 degrees. So, what does every man want to do when it is nice out...mow the lawn. Except, in Tony's case, he can't push mow anything because of his weight restrictions. This is one of those times when you are glad you have older children who are very capable and responsible. All kidding aside, Taylor was very happy to help her Dad out in the yard. She helped pick up dog poop and garbage that had blown into the yard all in preparation for her first mowing experience. She did very well according to her Dad, and that's pretty good considering he is very particular about his lawn. Nice work Tay-Bug!

Kaylee rides her bike without training wheels!!!

This afternoon Kaylee FINALLY realized what Tony and I have been trying to tell her for so long...she CAN do it!!! She was so proud of being able to ride her bike that I had a hard time getting her to come in at 7:15pm for a shower. She had gotten the hang of it about an hour and a half earlier and didn't want to stop. She kept going back & forth up and down the sidewalk and before long she was coming up the driveway too!!! We are very proud of her and she was very proud of herself. And I quote from Kaylee, "And for the rest of my life until I die I can say I can ride my bike". She always has a funny saying coming out of her mouth! :) Enjoy the video...

Shelby and her sock...

Ok...I have bought batteries for my camera!! I can now share pictures. YEA!! I will start with our dog, Shelby.

Anyone who knows Shelby knows she has a little "thing" for socks. Heck, she even seeks out Dad's socks if necessary! She carries them around the house like they are her babies. She will sometimes even bring them to you and cry. I'm not sure what the crying means...but I think it is her motherly instinct kicking in. She will also hide them around the house. Here is a picture I took of her sleeping with a sock hanging out of her mouth...

Soccer has begun!

Taylor and Kaylee have started soccer again. UGH! It is always a challenge to be at two places at the same time. However, this year they have the same coach (two different teams) because the coach has kids in both of the girls' grades. So...no over lapping games! On the other hand, out of 6 weekends of soccer, the girls will have 4 Saturday's worth of 8am games. YUK! Luckily one of those 8am games falls during our Wisconsin trip for my nephew's 1st birthday. Thanks for timing that right Jackson!

Our trip to Wisconsin is the first weekend in May. I can't wait to see how much Jackson is walking by then. We also haven't been to my Mom & Dad's new condo. From the pictures I have seen, it is gorgeous! The only down fall with the trip may be the fact Tony may not be able to come. He is having a lot of trouble with his back and sitting for long periods of time seems to really aggravate it. I may have to make the drive with Grandma and two kids myself.

I will place some pictures on the blog once I can get my camera to work...I think it is time to replace the batteries. So, no pictures for right now.
