Taylor ~ my little "trooper"

Taylor has a couple of "rough" weeks ahead of her. It started by her getting 6 teeth pulled at the oral surgeon's office last Thursday. This Thursday she will get spacers in place for the preperation of braces getting put on the following Thursday after that! Wow! She cam thru the surgery fine and is still "gumming" her food with her front teeth. The pictures I have included
are of Taylor & Shelby resting and of her BABY teeth she had pulled.

The finished product...

My basement is done...again! Of course there are still odds & ends to do, but for the most part the basement is put back together again. I can handle that!!! I have a warranty saying I will not EVER get water in my basement again from the waterproofing company. This will be going into a frame and hung in the basement.

A Siblings Getaway...

Last weekend Mike, Shell and I went away to Milwaukee for the entire weekend. Mike drove to my house last Friday night and we headed out Saturday morning for Milwaukee. We met Shell in Milwaukee about 10:30am. We stayed at the Radison (great pick Shell!) and it was awesome! We had a blast goofing around and drinking lots of coffee. I think the consensus was that this should be an annual thing for us. For some hilarious pictures and videos click on my links to Mike & Shell's blogs. Thanks for the great time and my huge coffee buzzzz!

The lazy way to walk your dog...

Shelby loves to get on the treadmill for her excercise. She will even get on with Taylor and they will walk together. It is definately the lazy way to excercise her...but she loves it!

Phase I is complete...

The waterproofing is complete. I included one picture of the very fine dust that can be found all over my house (upstairs & downstairs). Nice. One good thing ~ I can finally sleep a little more sound at night during a heavy rain. But, that is only phase I of the reconstruction of my basement...phase II will be installing our new (new) carpet (again). The carpet is to be installed on Aug. 4th and we can not wait. All of us are so ready to put our house back together (again). I am sure sometime down the road I will look back on this little episode in our lives and laugh, but probably not too soon. HA~HA~HA!!!
Shelby goes to the vet tomorrow. She has worms. YUK! From what I understand it is her hunger for rabbit poop that is probably to blame. This is wonderful timing as I am going back to work after a week long vacation tomorrow and I have to take the dog to the vet and meet Tony at his follow up appointment at 8 am. I guess my paper piled desk will have to wait a few more hours. UGH!! Oh well, these pictures are with the girls trying on their new sunglasses on Shelby. Shelby is laying on one of the two mattresses currently taking up residence in our living room.
Taylor and Kaylee are becoming quite the PS2 players. Tony hooked it up in the living room while we are under construction. They love to play "Need for Speed" and "Frogger". It is amazing to me to see how they are both growing up so fast. Taylor helped me grocery shopping today (like she has in the past), but this time she was paying attention to prices and doing comparison shopping. I taught her well. Kaylee continues to have the funniest sayings. It is never a dull moment with her around!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Before you know it the summer will be over and we will be putting on sweatshirts and jeans. The kids are counting down the days until the end of their summer. They start back to school (2nd & 6th grade) on August 14th. I am counting down the days for another reason... :)
